Royale Lunch Bar is a new casual lunch spot opened in Portland, Maine’s Old Port. The owner was inspired by the old deli’s and smoked meats of Montréal, along with the historic neighborhood of the restaurant’s location. He was looking for a design with a retro vibe and a fun, casual feel. The font choice was inspired by the Art Deco movement and handpainted signs of classic diners. The icon uses a sandwich and beer glasses in a quirky way to create a crown icon.
